When we rented our holiday cottage in Grigadale, Land´s End, we had certain expectations to the view. We didn´t know what we were going to find inside the house, though. These four pictures are from the girls´ bedroom. I didn´t take photos of ALL the books - just the most important ones. If you click to enlarge the photos, you can see that there were around 250 crime novels on the shelves.

Heaven
Absolutely fantastic I must get the address for next year's holiday. Also one of the books is a clue to the answer to my July miniquiz.
Bernadette, it was! My family dragged me away.
Norman, oh, that is good to know. That really narrows it down ;)
I imagine your husbands thoughts: Oh, no. I will never get her out of the cottage! Goodbye holliday...
:-)
Søren, you are probably right. But I have hundreds of photos to prove that I DIDN´T stay indoors all day long :)
I do wonder where all those crime novels came from, though. They must have belonged to a person who was just as crazy about crime fiction as I am.
one of those 'meant to be' places! cool.
Wow! Did you manage to read any of them?
Jackie: oh yes, I read three or four of them. I am going to post very short reviews of them over the next week or so.
Care: yes, it was a fantastic surprise. It gave me an opportunity to try some authors who were new to me.
A great story. We look foward to your reviews, and more photos.
Martin, thank you. Actually, I may have read some of your ´forgotten books´ as I went for older series which I didn´t know already.
That's so wonderful that you found a cottage complete with its own crime novel library! The one we stayed at had a very small shelf with about ten paperbacks. That was it. Sounds like you found a great place to stay!
A house made for you!!!!
Belle and Beth: yes, perfect indeed for me. And my children found some great children´s literature (books they are really too old for but enjoyed re-reading in English, e.g. Astrid Lindgren´s Mardie series).
