DesertRose has overwhelmed me this week by giving me not only one, but two awards.
2009 Friendly Blogger Award
I am going to give this one to Alyce, Dar, Care, Dawn and Jackie – five great book blogs I have not visited or commented on as often as I want to. I appreciate your well-written and inspiring blogs, folks – and I do peep in once or twice a week, whether I remember to tell you or not.
Alyce, At Home With Books
Dar, Peeking Between the Pages
Care, Care´s Online Book Club
Dawn, She Is Too Fond Of Books
Jackie, Farm Lane Books Blog
The Super Comments Award ”You Don´t Say”
"We give and get awards for having a great blog and being a good friend. What I want to award is those people whose comments have meant THE WORLD to me. It takes time to visit a blog and leave a comment ... I wanted to recognize some special bloggers whose comments have made such an impact on me. The “You Don’t Say?” Award is awarded to these special bloggers in hopes that they will pass the award along to 5-10 of their best commenters!"
You can all read here what I should do. I have decided that I won´t ´count my blessings´, however. Instead I want to thank each and every one of you who have helped me make this blog a better place by leaving kind, funny, sweet, inspiring humorous, cheeky or curious comments – and certainly also to you who have just taken the time to say ´hi, I am here´.
Finally, I also want to thank the 3000 people from 61 different countries who have visited my blog over the latest 2½ months. I know you are not 3000 different persons; on the contrary many of you are surprisingly faithful. And I assure you, without you this blog wouldn´t be the same.

Congratulations on your awards and thank you for passing the Friendly blogger award on to me!
Congratulations Dorte. Isn't it fascinating how world wide the interest in crime fiction is? I must note that the symmetrical balance of your readership is in contrast to mine as the other week I had 49% from the good old USA.
Congrats on your awards Dorte and thanks so much for passing the Friendly Blogger award to me. I really appreciate it.
Have a great Sunday!
Alyce and Dar: thank you - and you both deserve it!
Norman: yes, I think it is fascinating. When I check my visitors most days, it is mostly to see where they come from. I had 40 % Americans ONE DAY a few weeks ago when Peter had a link to my blog, but apart from that it is seldom that any country accounts for more than 30 %.
I love the colorful pie chart! (did someone say PIE?!)
oops, I also meant to say THANK YOU! DANKE! Mange tak!!
Care: oh, you are welcome; you really deserve it. And yes, I also like pies - especially when someone else makes them for me ;)
I'm missing Vendsyssel in your pie :-)
Søren, why Vendsyssel? Were you born there, or do you know I was???
Søren, I checked your profile.
Vendsyssel rules! I was born near Vrå & went to school there :D
I'm living in and loving Vendsyssel, but to be sincere, I only lived here 4 years :-)
But since you live 'next' to Vendyssel, I thought you just might see the joke. I still see cars with a 'V' mark indstead of 'DK' for Denmark :-)
Søren, they (we - but I have been away for so long) also have their own flag, don´t they? :D
Congrats on your awards. I love your graphic.
Thanks, Beth.
I must admit that I also love these graphics. What is so fun is that they change from day to day, and if a blogger from the USA, Germany or Australia link to my blog, I can see it immediately :)
