I am not going to offend my intelligent blog visitors by asking who is odd woman out here. But:
1) in your opinion, who is the ´real´ Miss Marple? - why?
2) which topical film role does the fourth woman play?
NB: I know Blogger does not work properly today - sorry if you want to comment but are not able to.
Look here for Miss Marple videos (Thank you, Kerrie)
Jeg vil ikke fornærme mine intelligente besøgende ved at spørge, hvem det er, som ikke hører hjemme her. Men:
Se Miss Marple videoklip her. (Tak til Kerrie for dit link).

I quite love Geraldine McEwan's Miss Marple. I love her unassuming manner hiding the eagle eyes of Sherlock Holmes.
I've never seen any of the Miss Marple adaptations, but none of those actresses really look like my mental image of her. I actually see as looking similar to one of my favourite teachers in middle school!
1) Joan Hickson
2) Lisbeth Salander???
Dorte you might want to check the YouTube videos I embedded at http://paradise-mysteries.blogspot.com/2008/09/sharing-passion.html
I have liked both Joan Hickson and Geraldine McEwan in the role, I think Margaret Rutherford was a hoot (but very wrong), but I hated Angela Lansbury in the role.
Personally I think Joan Hickson is the real Miss Marple. Part of the reason is undoubtedly that she is the one I saw first :)
And yes, the odd one out (in more than one way) is Noomi Rapache who plays Lisbeth Salander.
Joan Hickson was always my favorite with Geraldine McEwan a close second. Margaret Rutherford was too brusque and definitely did not fit my mental image of Miss Marple.
Kay, I agree on Hickson & McEwan.
I have only seen a few photos of Rutherford, but she certainly looks brusque! I think people would run away if they saw her.
I rather liked Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple but that's probably because she's the first person I ever saw in the role and I saw quite a few of them. I may be older than most , or just liked watcher older productions when I was young. A very interesting post. I'm afraid I'm ignorant of the fourth woman and the role she plays.
When I was really young, we had no TV, and Danish television didn´t send many British films anyway so it is not only a question of age, really.
The fourth woman is Naomi Rapace (not sure I spell it correctly) who plays Lisbeth Salander in the first Stieg Larsson-film.
