Some of my readers have a terrific memory, and it is probably true that I have promised you a story at some point or other. So here comes your inspiration: two photos of an old house and a fine, old water pump (Lodbjerg, Thy). Why did I tilt one of them, you´ll ask, but if you use Blogger yourself, you may know the answer. I wash my hands!
And now for your role: you can give me ideas for the setting, the characters, the plot etc, and I will try to include as many as possible in my story.
NB: if you are new to my blog and don´t have the faintest idea what I am talking about, you can see "The Red Shoes", "The Blue Vase" and "End of Christmas", literary masterpieces

Dorte - Tilted or not, I love these 'photos. Here is my idea. This house has just been purchased by a couple. There are stories about the house, but they don't believe them - until one of them finds long-dead body...
The elderly man, apparently mauled by a pack of stray dogs, lay dead on the gravel drive in front of the abandoned house. The only clue--if that is what it really was--was the nearly empty brandy bottle that the constable found beneath the nearby pump.
And about time too - how I've been longing for another story.
I agree the house has just been purchased by a young couple - newlyweds. There are mysterious goings on in the wood behind the house, strange lights and wood piles that are found ready choppped all by themselves.
The city people who move here cannot get the pump to work. Then one night under the light of a full moon they hear some creaking outside; when the look, they see the pump handle moving on its own and a dark liquid spilling forth.
Oh, if you know how much I love smelly, old bodies and mysterious brandy bottles! And I can see I´d better go modern by introducing a whiff of the supernatural.
Let me see....
I see some sort of little shed or something behind the house. Perhaps they (the couple who have bought the house) might find something quite unexpected in the shed. Something valuable? or maybe just something extraordinary. (my imagination doesn't seem to be turned on full blast at the moment)
Kelly: I promise I´ll look in the shed and tell you if I find something of interest :D
