[Denne krimi-debut er ikke oversat til dansk].
This crime novel is the first in the series.
“He gave an officious cough, half in Elsie´s direction, and said, ´I am afraid that I have to tell you that our wife is missing.´
´My ex-wife. We were divorced some years ago.´
´Your ex-wife, of course. For the moment she has simply been reported as a missing person. My apologies for putting this so bluntly, but we have good reason to believe that she may have committed suicide.´
I remained, though I say it myself, admirably composed. ´I am very sorry to hear that,´ I said, ´but I can´t see what it has to do with me. Not after all this time.´
The Rules:
If you recognize the quotation, or if you think you are able to guess who wrote it, please post a comment. Just leave a hint, do not spoil the fun by giving too much away. The book will be reviewed on Friday as usual.

No idea as usual but I like the ceramic box
No clue! Sounds like the ex-husband is lucky it was suicide and not murder. He'd have been sure to be a suspect....
Elizabeth
Mystery Writing is Murder
It has a very fishy title...
I did win it in a competition at Detectives Beyond Borders a couple of months ago.
It's a funny, charming, somewhat melancholic and overall very enjoyable novel.
Bernadette: I can see I´ll have to read more Aussie crime! :D
Elizabeth: IF it was suicide ... who knows?
Karen: I really like that clue :D
Marco: I agree!
I was stumped until Karen's fishy clue and a mention at friend feed of my photographic prowess.
Very good! I know this one- not only fishy but has a teaching theme to the title.
I seldom know you baits in the box, but I know they always make me want to read a good crime/mystery!
And by the way, I have an award for you here:

Norman, it is really good with some group work and community spirit (part of what I try to teach my classes) ;)
Maxine, it is very good indeed.
Louise, I think you´d enjoy this one! And thanks a lot for the award.
This is one Sir Alan Sugar won't be taking on.
Cfr; took me some effort (read help) to get your clue :D
How frustrating! It does sound vaguely familiar, but the clues (clues?) don't mean anything to me, so maybe I'm mistaken!
Tim, maybe my quotation was too subtle? On the other hand it seems as if people do recognize the lines if they have read the book.
