Look what happens when ....

Monday Peter, Detectives Beyond Borders, mentioned a post on my blog and put a link. Look what has happened: in a few days the percentage of American visitors has risen from the usual c 20 % to an impressive 40 %. Thank you, Peter.

And yesterday Kerrie, Mysteries in Paradise, wrote about the nationalities of her visitors, again referring to my blog and linking to it. A rise from 4 to 8 % of Australian visitors in a few hours. Thank you, Kerrie.

That is really interesting! About 70% of my visitors are from the US - it's weird how much effort I have to put in to get people from the UK to visit my site. You would think you'd have more visiotrs from your own country than anywhere else, but it doesn't work like that!

Hi!
I don´t think you always can decide whom you want to visit your blog :)
When I began blogging in Danish & English, my visitors were just about fifty-fifty, but the British and American visitors commment and discuss more, and what happens? I revisit people who seem interested in me and my blog, and you can see the effect here :D
So you and anyone who want to read my posts and comment, are heartily welcome no matter who you are or where you come from.

Hej Dorte, please tell me how to get that cool pie program -- jeg behøver sådan noget ASAP!

Reg, it is very simple. If you use SiteMeter on your blog, the graphs are made automatically (the last 100 visitors, you can choose country or language), and you can copy them like you copy pictures and store them away in your computer.
The address is www.sitemeter.com, and my version is for free. If you should choose one of the pay versions, you can play at CIA or something, I think.
