you may well ask.
Well, first of all Tuesday is the day when my online writing course publish the new task.
Week 2: write a story which ends with the following words: “And then he threw it out.”
Here you see my first draft of a flash fiction piece of 2-300 words.
I was afraid the demands would be more restrictive, but this one suited me rather well. And when you have the beginning and the ending, there is not much left to do.
Second, I am planning the promised Blue Vase Story. I have made some progress so I think I may have a story for you some time before Christmas.
Third, I have helped Norman of Crime Scraps a bit with a translation from Swedish.
Fourth, I try to read a bit once in a while. I really do (try, I mean).
Oh, and then there is work. And my family. And the washing ...

Dorte did a lot more than help me "a bit", she translated the entire bulletin from the Swedish. Thanks again Dorte.
It's hard to fit it all in...without completely losing our minds, anyway! Good luck with it, Dorte. I'm looking forward to your new story.
Mystery Writing is Murder
Dorte - I admire you so much for developing your writing as you do! I know just how it is to try to make time for everything. I look forward to your Blue Vase story : )!
Norman: well, 60 % of it was names so ...
Elizabeth: thank you. You know, one way of coping is by whining a bit so your readers can pat you on the shoulder ;)
Dorte, you obviously qualify as an OCD bibliophile; no matter what obstacles and responsibilities may arise in the normal (and sometimes not so normal) schedule in such a person's life, there is always a time for reading good books (or--when time is really not available, at least thinking about reading good books). Have a wonderful day.
Margot: when I began blogging in January, I almost forgot that my real dream was to become a crime fiction writer. So my first writing course (April-May) was a fantastic boost, and since then I have done my best to put other things aside now and then (even my beloved blog) in order to pursue my dream.
So thank you to you and all my readers for your support and encouragement. It means the world to me!
R.T. Yes, I think I do :D
But perhaps bibliophile also implies that one loves writing books? On the days when words and letters obey me, the writing process is as rewarding as the reading process.
Amazing just how many things get in the way of reading!
Petty Witter: Yes, isn´t it?
It doesn´t trouble me too much for my own sake as long as I succeed in writing a bit every week, but it is a bit difficult to keep up a book blog without reading one in a while :D
What an interesting prompt! Did you have fun with it? Will you share the results?
Dawn: yes, I had quite a lot of fun, and I will probably translate it before or later. But I have a long story (three parts) about the Blue Vase to publish first.
