I have written the first three chapters of The Cosy Knave, but I am still struggling with some of the names.
One character is called Jesmona Rowntree. I quite like her name, but as I have twins called Jeremy and Jemima, I fear I will just end up confusing my readers (more than necessary).
As you may have guessed, I plan to use a number of product names so if you know a good (preferably British) brand name, e.g. chocolate, biscuit, toffee, please leave a comment with your suggestions. The more the merrier (names AND comments) Or perhaps you can suggest new names for the monster twins?

I don't know why but the name Priscilla has popped into my mind - Pris for short
Dorte - I'm not as well-versed on British brand names as I wish, so I can't be of help for that. But the name Brandon came to me and won't go away...
I could be back several times with this one. Weren't Jeremy and Jemima the names of the two children in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Anyway, I suppose you have thought of the chocolte makers Bournville (that has a nice upper class ring to it) or we have a popular chocolate maker called Thorntons. Also a well known brand of 'travel sweet' here in England is Simpkins which somehow reminds me of a butler. Names for the twins? Let me think.
"Chocolate, biscuit, toffees." Not good for my diet.
British names: Cadbury [chocolate], Walkers [crisps] , Warburton [bread]
Interestingly just about the most advertised toffees on British TV are Werther's Originals, which are German.
The Toffees are the nickname for Everton Football Club.
I rather like Simon and Simone (or Simon and Sienna) Simpkins for the twins.
Kit and Kat (after Kit Kat) any good for twins? (after Norman's comments, Kit Kat crescent is now the home of York football club, as York is the home of Joseph Rowntree and hence Rowntree's chocolate - or was, I should say). Failing that, Green & Black (high-quality chocolate)? Or maybe Gum and Pastille (surname Fruit).
Or how about a grande dame called "Quality Street"?
Kendall Mint Cake might be a good name for a young lad, I suppose Dumbledore has ruled out Sherbet Lemons.
Catherine Wheels are a type of licquorice as well as a firework.
Rhett and Scarlett for the twins?
How imaginative you all are!
I have not made any decitions yet, and of course I shouldn´t as long as your brilliant suggestions are pouring in.
I do like the sound of Simpkins the butler though.
And the twins - dear me, how to choose between Kit Kat and Rhett and scarlett?
I have used Cadbury already, but Bournville, Warburton and Kendall Mint Cake are just gorgeous names.
Perhaps I should look for a chocolate sponsor? ;D
Just thought - we have a kind of flat bread here in the north east of England called stottie cake. Wouldn't that be a great name? I'm seing an ex movie/porn star who is down on her luck. Imagine a kind of Bette Davis Baby Jane character, cigarette constantly hanging from her mouth, hand in a hugh box of chocolates. Could be the grandmother of Kit and Kat.
Great title for your post. I'm sorry I can't help with British brands, but looking forward to discovering who you "hire".
Cathryn: silly me - do you think I had thought about that interpretation of the title myself?
Well, I am glad it sounded clever and not stupid :D
I would be of no help with British brand names, but for alliterative twin names what popped into my head first was Warren and Wilma.
They sound great, Alyce.
