Two-Sentence Tuesday

[The meme is hosted by Women of Mystery]

This week I have been relatively good. I have edited some chapters of "The Cosy Knave", polished a query, added a couple of hundred words to "The Halloween Murderer" and written a new flash fiction story.

Catastrophe (a flash fiction story with hardly any fish but plenty of cats):

"The crisis hit the area hard, and when the landlord raised the rent a notch or two, she was forced to give up the first-class cat fodder she used to spoil her darlings with. They stuck up their triangular faces at first, but after a few days they seemed to accept the second-rate bill of fare."

  1. Dorte - I'm glad you've been so productive! And I love those sentences. They convey so very well the role the cats play...

  2. I admire your productivity. After only four days away, I was so busy catching up that I felt like a dog chasing its tail.

  6. You've been a busy woman!

I enjoyed your two sentences...even if I am a "dog person".

  7. Margot: you have a good point about the cats there ;)

Rural View (Barbara, is that right?): I take care only to mention my productivity when I *have* been good ;)

Tracy: this little story just appeared, and I am rather pleased with it.

Clarissa: I think I did well, but to put it into perspective, Catastrope was only 400 words - a *very* short story.

Louise: thank you. I selected a bit I hoped would make you curious.

Kelly: one might disguss if this story is really for cat persons. Perhaps not ;)

  13. Belle: most of my flash stories just appear - but not always when I want one. I hope you´ll enjoy "Candied Crime".

Barbara: I´m glad I got it right :)

Clare: I´m afraid the tabbies are far more angular than you (my daughters says the story is uncanny - hehe).
