The first time I read one of this books I found it extremely overrated (Kafka on the beach). I am re-reading it now and completely mesmerized - it is actually an awesome book. I have joined the ranks of wannabe-intellectuals who read Murakami in the train :-D I think that anyone liking Paul Auster could learn to love Murakami...betteskovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13737996044604823642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-22586548704880533622010-03-30T12:08:45.040+01:002010-03-30T12:08:45.040+01:00Jane: I like Paul Auster, but I am not sure anyone...Jane: I like Paul Auster, but I am not sure anyone could persuade me to try Haruki Murakami. (Horribly prejudiced, I know).

Good to hear that you have Ann Cleeves on your list. I´ll have another good writer for you on Friday (but the name is a deep secret until after my bait-in-the-box tomorrow).Dorte Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535044092722418173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-31056574468022488782010-03-30T08:50:51.597+01:002010-03-30T08:50:51.597+01:00So many books, so little time. On top of that, I somehow ended up in two reading groups (there is a lot of variety in the book choices: Marian Keyes, Robert Zola Christensen, Mustafa Can)...
Therefore, I haven´t read much crime fiction lately (allthough both Auster and Murakami write genre hybrids that contain some crime fiction elements). But for my next holiday, this book might find its way into my suitcase - Casey joins my TBR list for crime fiction (containing Nesser and Cleeves)
:-)betteskovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13737996044604823642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-88697178074897477492010-03-28T23:15:47.872+01:002010-03-28T23:15:47.872+01:00Patti: it was a fast read, but very entertaining.Patti: it was a fast read, but very entertaining.Dorte Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535044092722418173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-8050515763322170782010-03-28T22:11:54.458+01:002010-03-28T22:11:54.458+01:00Exciting sounds good about now.Exciting sounds good about now.pattinase (abbott)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02916037185235335846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-57237801691687487132010-03-27T19:16:32.495+00:002010-03-27T19:16:32.495+00:00Tracy: you´ll probably enjoy it.
