I was asked to answer a meme either this January or last about authors I'd read for the first time in the year just ended. I have only read Theorin, which was great, but a bit scary (actually, I did not even read it, but downloaded it for free from dr.dk).<br />I have certainly learned about many new authors by blogging! I just finished my first Fanny Fiske novel, which was great fun, although a tad unrealistic. 5 min ago I read the first page of my 2nd Karin Fossum. The personal touch, for lack of a better phrase, makes bloggers' comments more engaging (and often more reliable) than comments found in mainstream sources for reviews and criticism. And, best of all, perhaps, there are no boundaries because the Internet obliterates barriers that would otherwise interfere with communication between avid book readers.R/Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07791522136032565027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-6143531667609145942009-07-16T16:18:20.928+01:002009-07-16T16:18:20.928+01:00Yes, definitely I have discovered more authors sin...Yes, definitely I have discovered more authors since starting blogging, and very importantly, more authors (proportionally) whose books I like. I particularly enjoy having discovered Euro Crime and have read several new (to me) books via the annual recommendations of its reviewers. I have also read a lot more crime fiction that was not originally written in English since starting blogging. A LOT more ;-)Maxine Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06628509319992204770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725252734697392575.post-35835927839953368662009-07-16T15:41:00.458+01:002009-07-16T15:41:00.458+01:00Eh!
